With product size constraints and increasing functional requirements: How can power modules balance space, isolation, and control?

Today, smart devices are capable of performing an increasingly wide range of functions.

As modules for control, communication, and interaction are progressively integrated, the motherboard, wiring harnesses, and connectors take up more internal space, leaving even less room for the power supply module.

In narrow, slim designs, the installation location of the power supply is particularly constrained. If the module’s thickness, interface, or wiring routing does not align with the established layout, it can affect the overall structure; isolation and output control requirements further complicate the layout.

MiJi Technology’s Isolated Dimming Power Module (Series) is designed for products with limited internal space that also have specific power supply and control requirements.

The product series includes ultra-thin designs such as linear, fan-shaped, and square configurations. While minimizing height, these modules achieve electrical isolation between input and output and feature multi-channel PWM constant-current dimming capabilities, allowing the output to be adjusted to meet specific product control requirements.

Ultra-Thin Design for Compact Structures

The Isolated Dimming Power Supply Modules (Series) feature an ultra-thin design and are available in multiple form factors, allowing users to select the appropriate installation method based on the product’s internal contours and component layout.

Rectangular modules can be arranged along narrow, elongated cavities; fan-shaped modules can be installed to follow curved contours; and square modules are suitable for installation areas with more regular contours.

The different shapes allow for a better fit with the product’s internal structure and adapt to various product thicknesses.

The low profile creates the conditions for a slim, sleek appearance and makes the product look more streamlined when placed in its actual usage environment.

Electrical Isolation Design
for Input and Output

The modules feature an input-output isolation design, creating an electrical separation between the AC input and the LED output, which provides the foundation for the entire unit’s safety design and relevant certifications.

For side-emitting luminaires, the isolated output allows for both LED wiring and creepage distance requirements to be met within the limited width of the FPC board, facilitating circuit layout in compact structures.

For product teams, this reduces the need for repeated adjustments to FPC width, circuit layout, or overall unit structure due to insufficient safety clearances.

For end users, the electrical isolation design provides an important safeguard for the product’s electrical safety.

Precise output control tailored to product functionality

The module features multi-channel constant-current output capabilities and can adjust the output based on control signals.

The control section supports AI voice, offline voice, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, infrared, and other methods, enabling different operating states and interaction modes in conjunction with the product.

For product teams, output states can be configured around product functions, and the power supply can work in conjunction with the device’s control logic.

In real-world usage scenarios, commands issued via touch, remote control, or wireless control can be translated into corresponding state changes, making the product’s operation more intuitive and aligned with user habits.
